TSSPDCL bags Leading State Discom Award
Telangana Sate Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSP DCL) Chairman and Managing Director G Raghuma Reddy received the ‘Leading State Discom’ award from Union Energy Department at UBM India’s Renewable Energy of India Expo – 2017 on Tuesday in Delhi for its successful efforts in renewable power sector.
Hyderabad: Telangana Sate Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSP DCL) Chairman and Managing Director G Raghuma Reddy received the ‘Leading State Discom’ award from Union Energy Department at UBM India’s Renewable Energy of India Expo – 2017 on Tuesday in Delhi for its successful efforts in renewable power sector.
The company has been given award for its power saving programmes, consumer indexing, for power accounting and auditing, for effective power distribution plan, connecting the renewable energy plants with the Grid and encouraging renewable energy production.
Speaking after receiving the award, Raghuma Reddy said that State government has brought out a good policy for encouraging production of renewable energy after formation of State. The solar power production which was about 48 MW when State was formed and it reached to 2,275 MW in this year.
Raghum Reddy said that the wind power is produced up to 100 MW at Parigi of Vikarabad district, and soon about 3,663 MW of renewable power would be added to the Grid. As much as 21.80 MW of solar rooftop power net metering is being done to the 1230 consumers.
