Yamapur sarpanch sustains bullet injury after assailants opened fire

Three miscreants opened fire at the sarpanch of Yamapur of Ibrahimpatnam mandal, Jagtiyal - Sunke Rajanna, in the early hours of Saturday.

According to the family members, three unknown persons entered the sarpanch's house after midnight and opened fire with a revolver at Rajanna.

As the noises woke up the rest of the family, they fled from the spot. Rajanna collapsed on the spit after sustaining a bullet injury.

He was shifted immediately to Karimnagar hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
