NTPC gesture to build toilets
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), officials of the NTPC unit here on Tuesday distributed 82 cheques each of Rs 4,000 to the people of 46th division of the town in the presence of Corporator Somarapu Lavanya for construction of individual sanitary latrines.
Ramagundam: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), officials of the NTPC unit here on Tuesday distributed 82 cheques each of Rs 4,000 to the people of 46th division of the town in the presence of Corporator Somarapu Lavanya for construction of individual sanitary latrines.
As part of the audit of works executed during 2016-17 by the NTPC unit as part of the CSR and community development, an audit was conducted by a team comprising Anjula Agrawal, Manager (CSR), Corporate Centre and A Rajendar, DGM (CSR), SRHQ.
They visited nearby villages and inspected works executed as part of the CSR like solar street light, CC and BT roads, RO plant, construction of additional class rooms, community centre, cycle stand, hand wash basin, installation of motorised bore well and installation of medical equipment at PHC, Basant Nagar.
They also visited and enquired about the running of self-help programmes like tailoring, beautician, food processing and canteen, sari tie & dye, free coaching programmes and so on.
The CSR team expressed satisfaction and gave suggestions for improvement. During the audit, the CRS team was accompanied by AGM (HR-CSR) Rafiqul Islam and briefed it on various activities.
On Wednesday, a special health camp was organised at KGBV Girls High School, New Moghalpahad by Dr Mamtha Kumbhare and her team from the NTPC Hospital screened 114 girls and distributed medicines to them free of cost.
