Revanth Reddy addressed Atmiyatha meeting of party workers and activists today at his residence, in Hyderabad.

In a special press meet in the presence of PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Revanth Reddy said that he joined the Opposition party TDP in 2006 only to fight for the people’s issues and is now again doing the same by joining opposition party Congress.

Stating that his sole aim is to unseat Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who is not working according to the aspirations of the people, he urged the leaders who joined him to support the decision he has taken.

Heaping praises on Sonia Gandhi and Chandrababu Naidu, Revanth Reddy said that Sonia Gandhi gave a separate state to the Telangana people after considering their hardships but KCR backtracked on the assurance of merging TRS with Congress after becoming the Chief Minister.

He repeatedly praised Chandrababu stating that the TDP supremo is working hard for the welfare of Andhra Pradesh and asked KCR to follow him in terms of working for the people adding that the AP CM had given up on the idea of Prime Minister’s post only for the welfare of Telugu People.

Revanth also went on to criticise BJP for not wanting an alliance with TDP in Telangana only to help the KCR government.

Revanth Reddy will be formally joining the Congress party tomorrow in the presence of Rahul Gandhi.
