Hyderabad: On a tip-off, the SOT (Special Operation Team) busted an online sex racket and apprehended three human traffickers from a hotel in Somajiguda on Saturday.

The SOT Malkajgiri conducted a decoy operation and apprehended the main organiser Errasni Jogeshwar Rao alias Nani (32), a native of East Godavari district and his accomplices Laxmannavari Gopal alias Raghunath Reddy (32), a native of Gadwal Jogulamba district and Kesana Gopal alias Harish, a native of Guntur district.

They rescued a woman from Uzbekistan who was on tourist visa. The organiser Jogeshwar brought the woman from Delhi about one week back and kept her in Katriya Hotel at Somajiguda since November 19. He sent her to the clients and secretly earned lakhs of rupees.

Upon enquiry, the woman revealed that she had come to Delhi about nine months back on a tourist visa (for six months). During her stay, she happened to meet human traffickers at Delhi, Goa, Bangalore and Hyderabad and earned money by indulging in sexual activities.. Her visa expired about three months back and she had been overstaying in India since then.

“The SOT conducted decoy operation and apprehended all the three organisers, rescued the victim and seized cash Rs 25,000, a Chevrolet car from their possession and handed over them to Saroornagar police for taking necessary action,” said Rachakonda, Police Commissioner M Mahesh Bhagwat.

Two days back, during a raid at a brothel, the Task Force in coordination with Saifabad police rescued a 27-year-old woman from Uzbekistan, besides nabbing two persons including a female sub-organiser involved in the racket.
