TS Govt makes Telugu on signboards mandatory

With the World Telugu Conference scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from December 15 to 19, the Telangana government has decided to make the use of Telugu on signboards of all commercial establishments compulsory.
Earlier, the government announced the study of Telugu language mandatory for all students till Class XII from the next academic year.
It is learned that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made the decision regarding the usage of Telugu on signboards when the subject came up for discussion in Pragathi Bhavan.
The order will be issued by the labor department in two days.
