Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Art Society is organising a three-day art camp at Lal Bahadur Stadium on the eve of the World Telugu Conference. Hyderabad Art Society President Ramana Reddy said though it is a literature event, the art is an important medium that needs to be showcased.

“I am glad that the government agreed to our proposal to hold an art camp to celebrate Telugu. I hope to see a day when all the government institutions and offices keep art as part of the decor, so that it helps in introducing art to people and inspires them,” he added. Around 100 artists will be a part of this camp including a few artists from Andhra Pradesh. The artists will dabble in the concept of the WTC celebrations and the glory of Telugu language.

Artists from Telangana like Bairu Raghuram, Parameshwar Raju, Anjani Reddy, Dasi Sudarshan, Professor Lakshmi Reddy, Kappari Kishan, Aga Charya, Ramavath Srinivas Nayak and senior artist from Sattenapalli, Guntur district Jinka Rama Rao will be a part of the camp. The works will be on display at the Nehru Art Gallery, JNAFAU for a few days after the completion of the camp on December 19 at WTC venue.
