Hyderabad: Vemula Sai Krishna, a resident of Kachiguda, received cash prize of Rs 500 from the Director General of Prisons, Telangana for providing information about a beggar and helping the department towards a Beggar-free city special drive run by Telangana State Prisons Department.
Recently, the Telangana State Prisons Department launched a drive to make Hyderabad a beggar-free city and asked the residents to inform the department about beggars and where they were spotted. A reward of Rs 500 will be given to the citizens who provide information.
