Patancheru: As many as 385 students of ShotoKhan martial arts in Sangareddy attempted for Guinness World record by performing most continuous full contact kicks 30/60 in one hour simultaneously on Sunday. The event was organised by Universal ShotoKhan martial arts organisation approved by Karate Association of India (KAI) at Mytri grounds in Patancheru town.

MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy appeared as chief guest for the event. The students aged between 8-15 years with martial arts background from various schools participated in the event. The feat was overseen by Guinness World Records’ delegate Jayanth Reddy from Hyderabad.

Jayanth Reddy, who holds 15 Guinness World Records in martial arts, said the attempt was made to break the previous record of more than one lakh full contact kicks continuously in one hour by Hong Kong with more than three lakh kicks in an hour without any break. He said the counting of kicks by the students would be done for each row in slow motion after recording the event which was first time in Telangana. The acknowledgement and approval from Guinness for the feat would take two weeks of time and all the student would be given certificate, he said.
