A massive fire took place in the GHMC’s Central Zone office on Tuesday. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and it took over an hour to douse down the fire in the three-floor building.

However, the audit room in the office was almost completely gutted out.
This is the second such incident reported in a government office in the last two weeks.
The first floor of Road Transport Authority’s office which is also in Khairatabad caught fire on January 24.
In today’s incident, the fire in GHMC office is said to have caused due to faulty wiring.
A complaint was registered with the police to inquire if it was a case of sabotage since the fire occurred in the audit room where files pertaining to inquiries, bills and other crucial documents are placed.
