Cricket betting racket busted, two arrested
The Task Force busted a cricket betting racket and apprehended two bookies while accepting cricket betting amount under Begumpet police station limits.
Hyderabad: The Task Force busted a cricket betting racket and apprehended two bookies while accepting cricket betting amount under Begumpet police station limits.
According to police, the cricket bookies Bellam Kiran Kumar (38), credit card collection agent and Mohd Nawaz Khan (24), collection agent, both residents of Begumpet were caught red-handed, while they were busy dealing with punters for the match between India and South Africa being played at South Africa.
The Task Force police seized Rs 10,000 cash, a Television set, set top box, laptop and other material from the accused. Kiran was earlier arrested by Ramgopalpet police in October 2017. The accused along with seized property were handed over to Begumpet police station for further investigation.
