Hyderabad: Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday announced that he would contest from Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency in next elections.

Speaking to media persons here, Komatireddy said that Gutha Sukhender Reddy had won the Nalgonda seat as Congress seat with a majority of over 2 lakh votes. He said he would break Gutha's record in 2019 elections. He said he would also work hard for the victory of Congress candidates in all 12 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats of erstwhile Nalgonda district. He said a BC candidate could replace him in Nalgonda Assembly segment.

Komatireddy said that he would soon tour the entire Telagana State to bring the Congress party to power.

He alleged that the police was not properly investigating the murder case of Bodupalli Srinivas, husband of Nalgonda chairperson B. Laxmi. He said that the TRS leaders were trying to unleash terror and inculcate fear among political opponents in view of next elections.
