Sevalal Maharaj birth anniversary fete today
The 279th birth anniversary of ‘Sant Sri Sri Sri Sevalal Maharaj’ will be organised on a grand note on February 15 under ‘Nangara Bheri-Lambada Hakkula Porata Samiti (LHPS)’ here in front of R&B Guest at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Khammam, said State Secretary of the ‘Nangara Bheri- LHPS’ Venkateshwarlu Naik here on Tuesday.
Khammam: The 279th birth anniversary of ‘Sant Sri Sri Sri Sevalal Maharaj’ will be organised on a grand note on February 15 under ‘Nangara Bheri-Lambada Hakkula Porata Samiti (LHPS)’ here in front of R&B Guest at Mahatma Phule Chowk in Khammam, said State Secretary of the ‘Nangara Bheri- LHPS’ Venkateshwarlu Naik here on Tuesday.
Speaking at a meeting held at the district office with the LHPS activists and leaders, Venkateshwarlu Naik said that Sant Sevalal Maharaj was the spiritual leader of Banjara community who brought several reforms and strived hard for the upliftment of Banjaras.
The birth anniversary of Sevalal Maharaj would be celebrated as per the traditions and customs of tribal people on a grand note paying rich tributes to the leader, he added.
He urged different tribal communities including banjaras and others, youth leaders and all sections of people and people’s organisations to participate in the celebrations in large numbers and make the celebrations a grand success.
LHPS district president Bhadru Naik, district secretary Veeranna and working president of the association Dasharath Naik were present along with others.
