The Ramagundam Task Force officials on Sunday apprehended two middlemen, who were illegally transporting sheep units, distributed under subsidy scheme to Golla and Kuruma community. The police seized 62 sheep worth Rs 3.33 lakh and a van that was used for transporting the sheep.

Mancherial: The Ramagundam Task Force officials on Sunday apprehended two middlemen, who were illegally transporting sheep units, distributed under subsidy scheme to Golla and Kuruma community. The police seized 62 sheep worth Rs 3.33 lakh and a van that was used for transporting the sheep.

Acting over a tip-off that a few middlemen have bought subsidy sheep units and transporting them to Rajaraopalle in Velganur mandal, the Task Force officials took two persons - Gellu Mallesh of Hazipur mandal of Mancherial district and Mekala Odelu of Velganur mandal of Jagtial district - into custody. It may be recalled here that the State government supplied sheep units among Yadavas of Lingalapalli in Chennur mandal of the district.
