He chaired a meeting with the officials of various departments here at the Collectorate conference hall on Tuesday.

District Education Officer Radha Kishan informed the Collector that about 7,652 students are appearing for SSC examinations, out of which 7,148 are regular students and 414 are private candidates. The exams will commence from March 15 to April 2, from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm in about 36 centres across the district.

District Intermediate Education Officer Ram Chandram explained that first year Intermediate examinations will be held from February 28 to March 17 and for second year students the exams will commence from March 2 to 19 from 9 am to 12 pm.

Collector Krishna Bhaskar ordered the DEO and DIEO to visit examination centres to observe the arrangements and see that dual desk furniture is provided in all examinations centres. They were also told to check drinking water facility and good lighting and fans are provided in the rooms.

The Collector ordered the SES officials to supply uninterrupted power supply during examinations. He told the RTC officials to arrange special buses from villages more number of SSC students will appear for examinations, and to run them as per the examinations timing.

Take necessary precautions to avoid mass copying along with arranging tight security at the examinations centres and while transporting question papers and answer sheets. Close Xerox shops during examinations time. Arrange temporary medical camps at the examination centres for emergency purpose, ordered the Collector.

District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ravinder Rao and District Public Relation Officer Dasharatham were present along with other officials.
