Telangana declares half-day school from March 15
Starting from March 15, schools in Telangana will have half-days from 8 am to 12.30 pm. The declaration was made by the Telangana School Education Department and will be in effect until last working day o,f the academic year 2017-18.

The circular read, "Half day schools will run during summer i.e. from March 15 onwards till last working day of the academic year 2017-18. The schools i.e. primary, upper primary and high schools of all managements i.e. both government, government aided and private management will function from 8 am to 12.30 pm.”
This decision has come in regard to the more number of heatwave days anticipated across Telangana this year.
All regional joint directors & district education officers have been issued an order to take necessary action regarding the same.
