A Dubai-Bangkok flight of Emirates on Friday had to make an unscheduled landing at the Rajeev Gandhi International airport in Hyderabad due to a medical emergency.

According to the reports, a passenger collapsed on board and the flight was diverted to Hyderabad due to the medical emergency.

The flight landed at the Shamshabad airport around 4.30 pm. However, the passenger was confirmed by the Emirates authorities to have passed away on arrival.

The flight resumed its journey to Bangkok about one hour and forty-five minutes later.
