Negligence of electricity officials snatches farmer’s life
One more farmer’s death is reported in Gajwel constituency due to the negligence of electricity officials. Farmer Manda Mallaiah, a resident of Akkaram village of Gajwel mandal died due to electrocution at his agriculture field on Monday morning.

According to the kin of the deceased farmer, Mallaiah went to his field at 5.30 am in the morning as a daily routine to check the crop but he did not turn up till 7.00am. In search of him, his family members went to the field only to find the dead body of Mallaiah with burn injuries due to the electrocution. The kin said, the power lines lying at a very low level due to the basement of the poles cave in at the victim’ s agriculture field for some time.
Accidentally, Mallaiah came in contact with the live wires while walking in the field and died on the spot with burn injuries. The death of the farmer occurred due to the negligence of the electricity officials, alleged his kin and demanded an exgratia from the government for the death of Mallaiah who is survided by his wife with two sons and a daughter. The deceased farmer was also burdened with loans of more than a lakh from private lenders.
