Expelled Congress MLAs to meet CEC today
Expelled Congress MLAs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar, will meet Chief Election Commissioner O.P. Rawat in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Hyderabad : Expelled Congress MLAs, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and S.A. Sampath Kumar, will meet Chief Election Commissioner O.P. Rawat in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Venkatreddy and Sampath Kumar will be part of a delegation of TPCC Election commission Coordination Committee headed by Marri Shashidhar Reddy.
The Hyderabad High Court had directed the Election Commission not to issue the notification for the Nalgonda and Alampur assembly constituencies on the basis of the decision of the Telangana Speaker on 13th March to expel MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar and Gazette notification issued on the same day.
The matter is posted on 22nd March and the court had directed that all the video footage covering the Governor's address be submitted in the court. The Congress delegation will draw the attention of EC to some other serious issues involved in the context of the polling in Rajya Sabha election on 23rd March.
