Udaya Samudram Project will be completed by next Khariff: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Friday informed the Telangana Legislative Assembly that the Udaya Samudram Project is proposed to be completed progressively by Khariff-2019.
Replying to a question rasied by MLAs Vemula Veeresham and Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao during Question Hour, the minister said that the work of pump house, tunnels & surge pool are in advanced stage of progress. The canal system works are in progress in line with Land Acquisition being done. He said that the total ayacut proposed to be covered is 1 Lakh acres. He said there was a proposal to fill up tanks through this project.
