Mayor interacts with BPCL officials on bitumen preparation
GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan, along with GHMC officials, visited the Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) refinery at Mumbai to know the process of preparing bitumen which is used for laying of roads that withstand heavy rains and water stagnation.
Hyderabad : GHMC Mayor Dr. B. Rammohan, along with GHMC officials, visited the Bharath Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) refinery at Mumbai to know the process of preparing bitumen which is used for laying of roads that withstand heavy rains and water stagnation.
The Mayor said that the refinery’s Chief General Manager P V Ravitej extended courtesies and took all the officials around the vast 450 acre plant and explained the nuances about Bitumen the benefits of Modified Bitumen for laying of modern and more durable roads.
After the refinery visit, the delegates along with the officials went to a plant where Bitumen is modified into CRMB and PMB where the GHMC officials interacted with the BPCL officials where they clearly explained the vast benefits of using CRMB and PMB for betterment of GHMC Roads.
The Mayor said that the purpose of visit will definitely help the GHMC engineering officials with the modernized technology applied by the BPCL officials will definitely improve the standard of GHMC roads in the near future.
GHMC Chief Engineer Ziauddin, Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Mohan Naik and other senior engineering officials of TSIIC were also present.
