High Court's key comments on AgriGold Case

The High Court of judicature at Hyderabad has passed key comments in connection with the AgriGold case. On Wednesday the petitioner has filed an affidavit seeking imposition of penalty on the GSL Group, which had expressed interest in buying AgriGold properties and then backed off. He said due to this sudden about-turn, the GSL Group has wasted the valuable time of the court.
The High Court of judicature at Hyderabad has passed key comments in connection with the AgriGold case. On Wednesday the petitioner has filed an affidavit seeking imposition of penalty on the GSL Group, which had expressed interest in buying AgriGold properties and then backed off. He said due to this sudden about-turn, the GSL Group has wasted the valuable time of the court.
After listening to arguments, the High Court justice gave one last chance to the GSL. He directed the GSL to deposit between Rs 1000 crore to Rs 1500 crore before June 5.
In the event of the GSL not doing so, the court directed the government to expedite the 10 AgriGold assets each worth Rs 100 crore. The hearing was adjourned to June 5.
