ESI cover for all workmen under study
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday instructed officials concerned to prepare a plan to implement ESI policy for all the workers in the State. He wanted the implementation of insurance policy for the construction labourers strictly.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday instructed officials concerned to prepare a plan to implement ESI policy for all the workers in the State. He wanted the implementation of insurance policy for the construction labourers strictly.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting on Labour welfare with officials at Pragathi Bhavan here. He asked the officials to prepare a report on the total number of workers working in the organised and unorganised sectors and the measures need to be taken for their welfare and healthcare.
KCR wanted the ESI facility should be extended to all workers who are not covered under the scheme. He directed the officials to link Aadhaar of all the workers and register their names in the Labour department. He will take some key decisions based on the report in next meeting organised in May first week.
