Mahbubnagar: The special party police in Mahbubnagar district conducted raids on Kirana stores selling gutka packets in Jadcherla mandal on Wednesday.
On a tip-off, the special party police raided a shop right in front of Jadcherla police station and seized banned gutka packets wroth of Rs 10,000 from it.
In another instance, the police also raided the house of one Ashok in Nimmabai Gadda village under Jadcherla mandal and seized the banned Gutka packets worth of Rs 2 lakhs form his possession. The police booked the cases against provision shopkeepers.
