Khammam: The Two Town Police here on Wednesday claimed to have busted a motorcycle lifting gang and arrested four suspects. A total of 12 bikes worth Rs 4.7 lakh were recovered from them.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkatrao told reporters here on Wednesday that two special teams comprising Inspector of Police Ch Raji Reddy, Sub-Inspector Yellaiah and others spread the dragnet and arrested the suspects.

The suspects were identified as Madakam Surya Prakash and Azmeera Mahendra Naik, residents of Veerunaik Thanda of Palvoncha Rural mandal. Apart from them, two minors too were arrested.

The ACP said the four culprits had stolen the motorcycles while staying in a private hostel here. The suspects were arrested during vehicle checking at various location in the city, he said.
