Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national executive member Perala Sekhar Rao called upon his party leaders and workers to make Jana Chaitanya Yatra a success.

Warangal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national executive member Perala Sekhar Rao called upon his party leaders and workers to make Jana Chaitanya Yatra a success.

He said the yatra was taken up to expose the failures of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government and the anti-people policies it adopted during its four year rule. The yatra would also talk about the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government’s four year rule.

Sekhar Rao addressed the party workers and leaders at a preparatory meeting in Hanamkonda on Friday regarding the arrangements being made for the yatra. The yatra led by BJP State president K Laxman would arrive in Warangal Urban district on July 5, he said.

The yatra would be launched at Yadagirigutta on Saturday, he added. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who made umpteen numbers of promises before coming to power had miserably failed to deliver them. On the other hand, the government was reduced to a family rule where the Chief Minister and his family were amassing wealth by corrupt means.

In addition to that the TRS government was taking credit for central government schemes by changing their names and misusing the central funds. All these issues would be explained to the public during the yatra to create awareness among them, Sekhar Rao noted.

He stated that Modi government at the centre had been working for the welfare and development of poorer sections. During the last four years, as many as 130 welfare schemes aimed at achieving all round growth of the poor in the country have been introduced across the country.

But, in Telangana the fruits of central schemes were not reaching the beneficiaries as the TRS government was hijacking them, Sekhar Rao said while appealing to the public to join the yatra in large numbers and make it a grand success.

The meeting was presided over by BJP Warangal Urban district cheif Rao Padma and was attended by the party State vice-president M Dharma Rao, the district in-charge M Chandraiah, State executive members V Sammi Reddy, G Yadagiri, Ch Srinivas Reddy, R Kishan, R Amarender Reddy and others.
