Sri Visista first Ayurveda hospital in Telangana, AP to get NABH accreditation
Sri Visista, a superspecialty Ayurveda hospital in the city, achieved the distinction of becoming the first Ayurveda hospital from both Telugu States to get accreditation from the prestigious NABH National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Providers, the apex national healthcare accreditation and quality improvement body
Hyderabad: Sri Visista, a super-specialty Ayurveda hospital in the city, achieved the distinction of becoming the first Ayurveda hospital from both Telugu States to get accreditation from the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Health Care Providers), the apex national healthcare accreditation and quality improvement body.
NABH Senior Director Dr Gayatri V Mahindroo came all the way from New Delhi to Hyderabad to present the certificate to Directors, Dr Laxmi Prasad and Dr G K Reddy, at a programme held at FTAPCCI, Red Hills on Saturday.
Yesteryear matinee idol Krishna, Telangana Legislative Council Chairman K Swamy Goud, Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao, former Congress MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy graced the occasion.
Telangana Ayush department Director Rajender Reddy, parents and family members of the directors, hospital doctors and staff as well senior and retired ayurvedic doctors were also in attendance. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Gayatri said that Sri Visista was the first Ayurveda hospital among 200 other hospitals, nursing homes and clinics etc. from both Telugu States that have NABH accreditation.
She lauded hospital directors and staff stating that they were like a close-knit family working to go to greater heights, and the accreditation was well deserved. Veteran actor Krishna exuded confidence that Sri Visista, which has presence in both Telugu States, will expand its horizons across the country with new branches in future.
Swamy Goud called upon people to own and protect Ayurveda form of medicine, which is the oldest in the world. Speaking earlier, Dr Rajender Reddy said that Ayush treatment was getting popular day by day as it was evident with increased number of people visiting for treatment.
Hospital Directors Dr Laxmi Prasad and Dr G K Reddy said that they have branches in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam at present and hope to expand it to other cities in the future. They stated that hospital applied for NABH accreditation in last July 2017.
Sri Visista Multi Specialty Ayurveda Hospital was started in 2013 in Hyderabad and as of now treated more than one lakh patients and wellness tourists including a large number of patients from Gulf, USA and others.
