Kukatpally: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists, led by local constituency leader Mandadi Srinivas Rao, staged a ‘rasta roko’ demonstration on the national highway on Monday as part of the ‘Bharat Bandh’ called by the Congress and other Opposition parties to protest the rising prices of petrol and diesel.
Addressing the participants, Rao warned the Central government that it would have to face widespread agitations if it fails to check the trend of rising prices of petroleum products. Among those who took part in the demonstration were leaders Padma Chowdary, Jasti Sridhar, M Nani, Giri, Sambasiva Rao, Madhu, Sattar, Mastan, Deepak, Mani, Bharati, Adilakshmi, Indira.
