High Court notice on Dharna Chowk welcomed

Hyderabad:  Prof Kodandaram and Cheruku Sudhakar  on Wednesday welcomed High Court’s show cause notice to the State government, regarding its decision to ban the use of Dharna Chowk. On Tuesday, High Court asked the State government to give its explanation on why Dharna Chowk be not reopened within two weeks, in response to a petition filed by Prof Vishweshwar Rao on behalf of Dharna Parirakshana Committee. 

Celebrating the court’s decision, the leaders of left parties and people organizations conducted a meeting at Dharna Chowk. Speaking on the occasion, they said that public institutions have collapsed due to autocratic rule and emphasized on the need to revive them.
