Lord Venkateshwara Kalyanotsavam today

Warangal: The celestial wedding of Lord Venkateswara would be held at Venkateshwara Gardens near Mulugu road under the Warangal West constituency limits on Friday. The programme would be held as per the Pancharatra Agama tradition under the guidance of Vedic pundits.

Former MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar announced at a press conference held at the 1000 Pillars Temple in Warangal. Speaking on the occasion, 1000 Pillars Temple chief priest Gangu Upendra Sarma said that the celestial wedding was planned to mark the birth star “Sravana Nakshatram”.

Anyone, who wishes to participate in the Kalyanotsavam, has to pay Rs 516. The couple, who will take part in the wedding ceremony, will be presented sesha vastram, Swamyvari Akshatalu, Swamyvari Locket, and few talambrala akshatalu. The programme would be held with the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar and admission is free to everyone to watch the celestial wedding.

He further said that those, who intend to take part in the celestial wedding, should attend in traditional wear, such as dhoti and kanduva and prasadam would be distributed to all those, who attend the programme.

Dhanwantari Seva Samithi district executive body members Manduva Seshagiri Rao, Brahmin Seva Samiti State working president Ayinavolu Venkata Satyamohan, Dhanwantari Seva Samithi district president Vijayakumaracharyulu, TRS leader Puli Rajanikant and others were present.
