TRS has no right to criticise Kodandaram

Update: 2018-09-21 05:30 IST

Hanamkonda: The Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) State youth wing coordinator Thirunahari Seshu said that the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is scared of Prof Kodandaram.

Speaking at a students’ meeting held at Subedari here on Thursday, Seshu said Harish Rao has no stature to demand that the TJS and Prof Kodandaram should contest the upcoming elections to the Telangana Assembly on their own.

Recalling that the TRS came into being in 2001 and fought the elections in 2004 by making an alliance with the Congress and then with Telugu Desam in 2009 elections, he questioned how can Harish Rao demand like that.

He lambasted the TRS that it could not win even 10 seats even after making an alliance with a party during the Telangana Movement. He dared Harish Rao how can he criticise a known leader of separate Telangana movement.

He alleged that although the TRS got a majority in 2014 elections it failed to fulfill the aspirations of the Telangana agitators during its four-and-a-half-year rule. “The TRS miserably failed to provide employment opportunities to the students, who fought for separate Telangana State on the slogan, ‘Our State – Our Jobs’,” Seshu said.

The people of the State are ready to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS government, he added. It is absurd that the TRS was criticising that Prof Kodandaram is joining hands with anti-Telangana parties, because it is the TRS, which had given way to the anti-Telangana agitators into its party-fold and made them MLAs, MPs and even ministers, Dr Seshu said. He said that TRS leaders have no moral right to criticise either Kodandaram or the TJS.

Seshu further said that the TJS is ready for any kind of debate to discuss about the TJS commitment towards its people of the State. Telangana Jana Samithi leaders – Dr Tallapalli Sanjeev, Dr Vennampalli Vijaykumar, Srikanth, Rakesh, Ajay, Praveen and Ashok were among others present.
