Secunderabad: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), Southern Region Transmission System-I, RHQ, Secunderabad has conducted an intra-regional cultural meet and handicrafts exhibition at its premises on Monday. A total of nine teams representing various substations under SRTS-I have participated.
Indu Sekhar Jha, Chairman and Managing Director, POWER GRID and J Haque Ex-Director (Operations) POWERGRID were attendedas Chief guests. The teams performed on themes like ‘Village Life’, ‘Kamsale Dance’, ‘Guruvayyalu’, ‘The birth of lord Ganesha’, ‘Save Girl Child’, ‘Srivari Brahmmotsavam’ etc. Performances are well mix of traditional folk forms in both the Telugu states along with a social message.
RHQ, Secunderabad team won the first prize, which performed on the theme ‘The birth of Lord Ganesha’. Nellore Substation stood second and danced on ‘Worship is better than Sacrifice’. Later, the handicrafts exhibition was inaugurated by Usha Jha, President, Srishti MahilaSamaj, POWERGRID.The officials of POWERGRID and family members of the employees were present.
