Dasara, Bathukamma fetes on a grand scale

Yusufguda: Celebrations of Dasara, Bathukamma, along with Ravan Dahan, were organized with pomp and fervor at Krishnakanth Park here on Friday. Young children in the attires of epic characters like Sitha, Lakshmi, Anjaneya, Krishna and others arrived at the spot in a procession which included camels and chariots echoing Telangana folk songs. A large number of visitors also gathered to witness the grand gala event.

The MIM contestant MLA of the Jubilee Hills V Naveen Yadav organized the event. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the blessings of the Mother Durga will be showered upon the people. He appealed the people to exercise their franchise in the coming elections. He also urged the educated youth to make use of the notifications issued by the government to secure jobs. Venkat Yadav, Mallesh Yadav, Ramesh Yadav, Buchareddy, Rajmallesh,Venkulu of Yousufguda Basthi Committee supervised the celebrations.
