Bhupalpally: North Zone Inspector General Y Nagi Reddy said that the police are leaving no stone unturned to ensure incident-free election in mandals that are abutting Chhattisgarh border. Reviewing the election preparedness with the local police here on Wednesday, he said there are 650 polling stations in 419 locations across Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district and of which 173 polling booths are sensitive.

However, there is a possibility of Maoist threat, the police have taken measures to ensure a hassle-free polling in these polling booths, he said. It may be noted here that Jayashankar-Bhupalapalli district, which has Mulug and Bhupalpally constituencies also has parts of Manthani and Bhadrachalam segments. The police have bound over 3,707 history, suspect sheeters and trouble mongers,” Reddy said, cautioning them not to create any kind of troubles to the people during the elections.
