Ponguleti demands govt help to farmers for losses
Senior Congress leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy appealed to the government to help the farmers who lost the crop due to the cyclonic rains
Khammam: Senior Congress leader and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy appealed to the government to help the farmers who lost the crop due to the cyclonic rains.
On Wednesday, he along with party leaders visited the mandals of Konijarla, Raghunathapallem and Tanekalla mandals and examined the crops of the chilli, cotton and paddy.
Ponguleti demanded the government to conduct the survey with the Agriculture officers and Revenue staff to help the farmers immediately. He also demanded immediate respond from the government and implement Rythu Bheema schemes for the crops.
On the occasion, farmers who lost the crops expressed their agony before the MLC and asked for the best price for their crops. Congress leaders K Ranga Rao, Ramisetti Manohar, S Sridher Reddy, MD Pajil and Deepak Naidu, K Naga Raju, V Pakash and others leaders accompanied MLC Ponguleti.
