Kodangal: Telugu teacher at Chowarpally High School Vennela Satyam received Xray best award for his contribution to Telugu poetry. The award was presented in a function held in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, Chairman of Telangana Sahitya Academy Nadini Sidhareddy, AP writer’s association president Somepalli Venkatasubbaih, editor of Xray magazine Kolluri handed over the award to Vennela Satyam. Satyam stood first among the 450 contributions from different poets.
Nandini Sidhareddy said the winners should write poetry for the betterment of the society. Buddha Prasad said that poetry is universal, and it never affected by any differences. Teaching fraternity across the mandal congratulated Satyam for his achievement.
