According to the source, the film will be released in North America, including US, Canada, and 14 countries in Europe including UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden and Poland. The film will hit the screens in seven Middle-East countries, like UAE, Kuwait and Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon

Hyderabad: The much-hyped Pawan Kalyan starrer “Sardar Gabbar Singh” is all set to hit the screen in 44 countries on April 8. Usually, Telugu films are released mostly in the US and UK, but Eros International and IDream have charted a new course by releasing films in a various continents to explore the untapped markets and tap more overseas collections.

“It is first time a Telugu film will be released in so many countries spread over a few continents to showcase the clout of Telugu cinema,” said a source, close to Chiru’s family, who described it as a perfect film to explore virgin markets. “It has the biggest star Pawan Kalyan coupled with big production values and above all a universal theme revolving around a fearless cop. It will be visual treat for viewers from Asia to Europe and North America to Africa and Middle-east,” he felt.

According to the source, the film will be released in North America, including US, Canada, and 14 countries in Europe including UK, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden and Poland. The film will hit the screens in seven Middle-East countries, like UAE, Kuwait and Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon.

“We have specifically planned subtitles in Arabic language to reach out to larger section of Muslim viewers across the world and are releasing the movie in war-torn regions like Iraq and Lebanon” he pointed out. The distributors are also releasing the film in 12 countries in Africa including South Africa, Zambia, Cape Town, Ghana and Egypt besides Australia and New Zealand.

“We are exploring some regular markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok as well as virgin countries like Srilanka Nepal and Japan in Asia to show the potential of a big ticket Telugu film” he added. Actually, Pawan’s biggest grosser in overseas market was Rs 11 crore plus “Atharintiki Dharedi’ but now there is a speculation that he may set a new record in overseas market with his upcoming film by drawing more collections than other top overseas grossers Rs 13 crore Srimanthudu and Rs 40-crore Baahubali. “We are expecting much bigger collections.
