Peru will host in November the most extreme running competition in the world: the prestigious Marathon Des Sables; as reported by PROMPERÚ.
Peru will host in November the most extreme running competition in the world: the prestigious Marathon Des Sables; as reported by PROMPERÚ.
Peru will be the first Latin American country to host this competition, which brings together elite athletes who endure extreme situations in order to finish the race, such as high desert temperatures and having to carry their food every day while the race lasts.
The Marathon Des Sables in Peru will take place between the dunes of Nasca and Paracas. There will be six days of competition, bringing together more than 300 foreign competitors.
According to the organisers of the Marathon, the race will be attended by more than 50 international journalists from the United States, Brazil, Japan, Mexico and Europe, who will follow closely the incidents of the competition, guaranteeing the media exposure of Peru worldwide.
