Are you a daredevil? Adrenaline junky? Or maybe you prefer to just experience things from the comfort of your armchair? Either way, these ideas are for you to experience your daily dose of adventure in the USA.

  • Take a leap off the cliffs of Devils Fork State Park, South Carolina. Only about 60 kilometers west of Greenville, the park has numerous small waterfalls to explore and offers hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking and scuba diving.
  • The Durango Mountain Resort just outside of Denver, Colorado, offers tobogganing and a number of other family-friendly adventures when the weather is warm.
  • Be brave and take a jet pack ride in the Florida Keys! Hold on tight! Water jet packs use water as propulsion to lift a ride as high as 9 meters above the water.
  • The mighty Colorado River, which carved the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona, provides some seriously fun whitewater rafting opportunities.
  • Pick up the pace with a mountain bike ride along the undulating slopes of the Slickrock Trail in Moab, Utah, which is one of pro mountain biker Eric Porter’s favorite places to ride.
  • Or if you’re a thrill-seeker like professional climber Conrad Anker, make your way to Arches National Park just outside of Moab to do some rock climbing. Don’t worry: You don’t have to leap off cliffs to have a good time.
