TSNPDCL CMD launches swiping machines
Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) CMD Annamaneni Gopal Rao has informed that the company was planning to provide 400 swiping machines at its bill collection counters.
Hanamkonda: Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL) CMD Annamaneni Gopal Rao has informed that the company was planning to provide 400 swiping machines at its bill collection counters.
The CMD has on Friday formally launched cashless collection of electricity bills at electricity revenue office bill collection centre at Nakkalaguta in Hanamkonda. Speaking on the occasion, he revealed that a total 25 swiping machines have been provided at bill collection counters in tri-cities of Warangal-Hanamkonda-Kazipet.
In the first phase, the system of electronic point of sales would be installed at all district headquarters followed by mandals and villages. The consumers could make hassle-free bill payments using their debit and credit cards.
The decision by the Centre and the State governments to promote cashless transactions would help the consumers a lot and it prevents problems caused by lack of change with the consumers. Hence all the consumers should make use of the facility, Gopal Rao appealed.
The machines were procured from the SBH, he added. Director B Venkateshwar Rao (Projects and Finance), chief general managers V Thirupathi Reddy and T Sadar Lal, Superintendent Engineer G Shivaram, DE (technical) Srikanth and SBH officials were present.
