Officials told to complete toilets construction by Feb 28

Speaking at the meeting, he questioned the officials as to how many review meetings he should conduct asking them to complete toilets’ construction works.
He asked them to give explanation for the delay.‘We cannot declare the districts as open defecation-free till date because of some lazy officials in the district.
A few others did not upload the photos even after completing construction within the time limit,’ the Collector said.
He said that he was unable to understand why the officials were not fulfilling their responsibility even after sanctioning Rs 9 crore for the purpose.
The Collector ordered the Village Panchayat Secretaries, MPDOs and MROs to hand over the money directly to the beneficiaries and complete toilets’ construction by February 28 under any circumstances.
The officials were told to make the villagers to dump the garbage at the dumping yards, identified by the government.
Joint Collector Dr Nagendar, District Forest Officer, R&B Executive Engineer, MPDOs, MROs, Village Panchayat Secretaries and Cluster Officers were present along with others.
