Students take Swachh Bharat to Tenneti Park
Students of GITAM University on Sunday participated in a Swachh Bharat Campaign at Tenneti Park in Visakhapatnam. The event was organised by the student chapter of IETE, GITAM University; as part of their upcoming annual fest iSquareR-2k16, which is being celebrated this year with its theme as ‘Celebrating Evolution’.
Visakhapatnam: Students of GITAM University on Sunday participated in a Swachh Bharat Campaign at Tenneti Park in Visakhapatnam. The event was organised by the student chapter of IETE, GITAM University; as part of their upcoming annual fest iSquareR-2k16, which is being celebrated this year with its theme as ‘Celebrating Evolution’.
A wave of blue swung into action as the organising body of IETE along with volunteers and enthusiasts from various colleges strived meticulously for the cleanliness of the recreational spot and held onto the motto ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. With immense spirit and verve, the park was soon rendered clean and a sense of satisfaction seeped deep into the hearts of the nature lovers.
Grasping the flag of IETE high and proud, Prasanth, the President of GITAM Chapter with the enduring support of Vice President Manasa led the Team of 40 IETE members accompanied by activists from NSS, as the slogan ‘Make it clean, make it right, let’s make our future bright’ echoed across the serene pathways of the picturesque park.
iSquareR, scheduled to be held this year on 2nd and 3rd March, 2016, is an annual fest of IETE, GITAM Chapter that attracts undergraduates from all over the country. Students belonging to various departments and fields of study attend and participate with invigorating zest and passion.
