Pearson, the world’s learning company, announced the launch of “Intelligence and Data Engineering Analytics (IDEA)” in partnership with FICE Education, a leading provider of experiential learning to engineering students in India. The partnership will provide students with access to high-quality educational content from by the world’s leading institutions through edx.org.

The partnership will provide students with access to high-quality educational content from by the world’s leading institutions through edx.org.
Highlights:
- Programme in collaboration with FICE, delivered at multiple campuses of Holy Mary Group of Institutions and Nalanda Institute of Technology in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh
- Programme is delivered through blended learning that combines online educational content from edX.org, the leading nonprofit online learning platform founded by Harvard and MIT, with face to face sessions by FICE instructors in India and field/lab work
- Participants will be provided with placement support
The programme is delivered at multiple campuses belonging to Holy Mary Group of Institutions and Nalanda Institute of Technology in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The programme seeks to help students work effectively in a team to achieve goals; solve problems using critical thinking; apply data analysis techniques and tools to analyze and visualize data, make decisions and predictions using machine learning techniques; build a network of engineering and industry professional colleagues and build skills to increase employability.
Matthew Mermagen, Vice President- Strategic Initiatives, Pearson, said, “The IDEA Programme gives an opportunity to Indian engineering students to acquire and demonstrate skills that are necessary for innovation and employment.” The blended learning programme combines online courses from edX.org with face-to-face sessions and lab work, delivered by FICE instructors in India. The programme lasts 40 weeks. Successful students will earn certification from edX, its partner universities and Pearson.
The edX courses included in the partnership provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge in the most in-demand fields, including Data Science and Machine Learning, from the world’s leading authorities on the subjects, including Microsoft and Columbia University.
