Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a global leader in diversified chemicals, in collaboration with Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), announced the successful completion of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) skill development programme for 45 youth in Hyderabad, Balasore and Lucknow. 

Hyderabad: Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), a global leader in diversified chemicals, in collaboration with Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), announced the successful completion of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) skill development programme for 45 youth in Hyderabad, Balasore and Lucknow.

The programme is intended to develop capacity in the plastics processing industry in India. This collaboration is a part of SABIC’s CSR commitment to create lasting value across the economic, social, human and environmental dimensions and to support the Government’s skill development and Make in India initiatives. The program entails a six month-long residential skill development course including a full scholarship that covers course fee, boarding and lodging costs.

JanardhananRamanujalu, Vice President, SABIC South Asia & ANZ, said, “The plastics processing industry is growing at double digit growthrate and we believe that this programme will help the underprivileged youth get skilled and gain employment”.
