Those users who don't really use WhatsApp Status need not worry about ads coming to the platform. They will not see any ads.

They will work similarly to Instagram Stories. Users need to swipe up to open a promotional page or a website linked with the particular ad.

7. Facebook plans to integrate WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger












Earlier this year as per a report in NewYork Times, Facebook is planning to integrate all its messaging services — WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. The services will continue to operate as stand-alone apps, their underlying technical infrastructure will be incorporated
