Three students of the University of Hyderabad were fined of Rs 5,000 each for organising 'Shaheen Bagh Night' event in the campus expressing solidarity with the protestors of Shaheen Bagh in Delhi.

The University administration fined the students for organising the event after 9 pm earlier in January and also alleged that the students have defaced the campus walls with graffiti.

A notice was served to the students on Thursday and the trio -- Faseeh Ahmed, Sahana Pradeep and AS Adish were asked to pay the fine within 10 days of the notice. It also stated that stern action will be taken against those who repeat such incidents in the future and asked the students to focus on studies.

On the other hand, the Students' Union condemned the administration act and demanded to withdraw the fine imposed on the students.
