To appeal to the government to revive Osmania General Hospital

Afzalgunj: With the demand to revive Osmania General Hospital (OGH), the Osmania Medical College (OMC) Alumni Association will be organising a 'walk' from OGH to OMC on December 8.

This will be held on the second day of the Global Meet of Association which begins on December 7, where alumni from across the world will take part. "This meet is conducted once in every three years. About 500 delegates are going to take part in this two-days meet. The latest health topics are going to be discussed in scientific sessions by eminent past Professors of OMC, which will be of great help to update the knowledge of our members," said Dr Iqbal Javeed, convener, fine arts exhibition committee.

The programme will be attended by Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Dr Shyam Sunder Prasad will speak on 'Radio Surgery in Opthmology' and Dr Sultana Khan on 'Common Gynecology and Obstruct Problems'. During the evening, the cultural programmes like ramp walk, classical dances and musical programmes will be held.

On the following day, after the 'walk' from OGH to OMC, the doctors who have been serving for more than 25 years will be felicitated. Later in the evening, a grand gala banquet will be organised at Hotel Minerva Grand.
