Hyderabad: Himachal Pradesh State Governor Bandaru Dattatreya recalled the services of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on the occasion of his birth centenary celebration.
In a statement on Saturday, he said that the former PM was a man of letters, an intellectual, a statesman and the first among the Prime Ministers of the country who had brought forth reforms to streamline the countries economy.
Dattatreya said that PV had brought a name to the positions while serving as the State Chief Minister, Central Minister and left a mark of his own as the Prime Minister of the country.
Recollecting his relation with PV, the Governor said that he had met the former PM several times as the member of parliament from Secunderabad, to submit a representation on peoples issues.
