BJP's Rao prints manifesto on bond paper
Promises a slew of sops to voters
Khammam: Khammam Parliamentary constituency BJP MP candidate Devaki Vasudeva Rao announced his manifesto in a unique way by printing it on a bond paper and signing it in front of his followers.
During a meeting held in Khammam, he announced his plans for the district and revealed the manifesto which was printed on a bond paper. In the meeting, he said that he was the Chowkidar (security guard) of Khammam district and promised to take Khammam district onto the path of development.
His manifesto was divided into five parts with the acronym HEART. In the manifesto, he promised to set up a super specialty hospital for tribals, a medical college, health clinics in all mandal headquarters, Simhadri university, National Institute of Management, IT corridor, skill development campus, textile park and food processing units.
Connectivity to Central government schemes, help desks at mandal headquarters, resolving Adivasi land issues, developing national highways, Kothagudem airport, Singareni coal mines railway linkage, Bhadradri temple development, value centres for youth and Amrutha Pathakam implementation were also mentioned.
Later, he participated in a rally along with state secretary Sreedhar Reddy, working committee member Vidyasagar, District Secretary Uday Pratap, Parliament convener Upender and other party members. The rally started from the Pavilion Grounds in the city and ended at Gandhi chowk. On the last day of the campaign, Rao appealed to the voters to vote for BJP for the development of the nation to continue.
