Hyderabad: TPCC vice president and former MP Mallu Ravi on Sunday demanded Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to call for an all-party meeting to discuss and finalise an action plan to control the dangerous spike of corona cases in the State particularly in GHMC limits.

He alleged that the TRS led State government had failed to take preventive steps like tracing, testing and treating to contain the spread of the virus. He said that, in these critical times, the government should take all the political parties and people into confidence. Ravi demanded the government immediately declare increase in number of testing centers proportionate to the demand.

Ravi asked the State government for admitting only serious cases in the hospitals and keeping non-serious cases under home quarantine with treatment given at their places. Ravi urged issual of specific guidelines to private and government hospitals about patient admission and treatment and that no patient should be denied admission by any hospital management suspecting coronavirus. He demanded the State government to bear the cost of testing and treatment,

closure of wine shops and other public gathering places by 6 pm every day. Unfulfillment of demands would lead to holding virtual public agitation, he warned.
